EKG technicians can seek employment at hospitals, physicians’ offices, medical and diagnostic laboratories, and diagnostic imaging centers. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, EKG technician jobs are expected to rise 29% over a 10-year period through 2020.

MIHT offers an EKG Technician program which can provide students with the skills needed to ensure proper placement of electrocardiogram (EKG) leads and proper maintenance of equipment to obtain an accurate reading. In addition, EKG classes cover cardiovascular terminology, anatomy and physiology.
